Pachter is the author of eight business books including the When The Little Things Count…And They Always Count: 601 Essential Things That Everyone in Business Needs to Know (Marlowe & Co.), and The Power Of Positive Confrontation: The Skills You Need To Know To Handle Conflicts At Work, Home And In Life (Marlowe & Co.). Her books have been translated into German, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, Vietnamese, and Italian. Her latest book is New Rules @ Work: 79 Etiquette Tips, Tools, and Techniques to Get Ahead and Stay Ahead. She has appeared on numerous radio and television programs and her advice on business communications has been featured in dozens of newspapers and magazines, including O Magazine, USA Today, The Washington Post, Nation’s Business, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Working Woman, Chicago Tribune, Investors Business Daily,Training & Development Magazine and The New York Times. The Harvard Business Review interviewed Pachter and her discussion on etiquette appeared recently. Her areas of expertise include business etiquette, assertiveness, conflict management, international etiquette, communication skills, presentation skills, and women’s seminars. Aishton,
senior associate with Pachter & Associates, is a seasoned business
executive and corporate spokesperson, with broad global experience in
marketing, training, communications, finance and public relations. Before
joining Pachter & Associates, Aishton was a vice president of corporate
communications at Avon Products, Inc. As a company spokesperson,
she developed and delivered persuasive marketing presentations to audiences
around the world, in boardrooms and newsrooms, at press events and business
conferences. Audiences ranged from the US Small Business Administration
in Washington, DC, to the Conference Board in Chicago, the Decade for
Democracy Conference in Budapest to the press corps in Manila, the International
Olympic Committee in Lausanne to the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk participants
nationwide. As
a communications, event marketing and training executive for Avon globally,
Aishton developed and implemented the first-ever interactive product training
system for Avon’s sales force of 400,000, coaching all national trainers.
She led the first-of-its-kind Avon Women of Enterprise Awards initiative
honoring women entrepreneurs and created the Avon Speakers Bureau, coaching
executives and business owners to be effective spokespersons. Aishton
delivered professional presentation training workshops to business leaders
and management trainees in New York and Boston. Aishton
began her business career with studies in the MBA program at New York
University and went on to become an international commercial lending account
officer in the Latin America Division of Banker’s Trust Company in New
York City. Aishton
has an undergraduate degree from Albion College and a master’s degree
from the University of Michigan. As a Fulbright Scholar, she taught
and studied in Avignon, France. Joyce
Hoff is
the office manager and training director for Pachter & Associates.
She works closely with clients to ensure that all their training needs
are met. Joyce has held this position for over twelve years. Prior to joining
Pachter & Associates, Joyce was a manufacturer representative for
Ford Motor Company with responsibility for 30 Ford and Lincoln/Mercury
